Anthropic Motion Designer, Core Brand Resume

You're probably not used to receiving a video resume. This is a first for me too. But Anthropic's research-driven, safety-focused approach to AI, and how grounded the company is overall, makes it the kind of place worth doing something different for.
Behind the scenes resume video.

Step-by-step

Notes:
One of the things I practice and have taught other designers when creating motion graphic videos is that it's easier and quicker to create in phases. Create illustrations, create scenes, etc. It allows you to hyper-focus on a specific task, saving time in the long run.

Using Claude
Even though I gave a reference image of what I wanted the storyboard sketches to look like, I ended up getting something different. But the outcome still points to the potential for AI to be more involved in the process.
Building My Own Storyboard Generator
I'm always thinking about process and how to make things more efficient. I used Claude to help create a prompt for Figma Make to build a Storyboard Generator. It's 100% a work in progress, but I love how AI has opened up more creative opportunities.

My Motion Graphic Work

MunchPak

A CTV video built around curiosity and warmth. The composition opened with tight product close-ups before expanding to wider lifestyle scenes, giving the pacing a natural reveal rhythm. Typography stayed loose and conversational, with rounded friendly letterforms that matched the brand personality without competing with the product. Color grading leaned into warm saturated tones to make every snack feel irresistible on screen.

Brand Systems:

This video was created for Vertical Measures whose owner took a unique approach to "keep your audience guessing what's next" by allowing the designers to produce unique, differentiation designs. The goal was to explore creatively while maintaining clarity with messaging. I learned a lot about how to approach transitions with motion graphics, and that I should have turned the inertial bounce down a little!

Brainstorming With Mind Maps In A Group

This piece pushed into more expressive visual territory with layered illustration compositions, textured backgrounds, and transitions designed to feel like turning a page rather than cutting between scenes. The color palette stayed intentionally cool to match the subject matter, with warm accent colors used sparingly to mark key ideas. Typography shifted weight and size in sync with the audio, using scale within the layout as a hierarchy tool rather than decoration.

No brand system created as the purpose of the video was to reach a specific demographic by expanding their brand aesthetics through a motion graphic video.

Apartment Cleaning Supplies You Can Make Yourself

A handcrafted mix of script and slab serif typography set against texture-forward backgrounds of rough paper and natural fibers. Compositions were kept loose and organic, letting ingredients and type breathe naturally within the frame. Rather than hard cuts, the camera moved continuously, swooping around countertops and sweeping items into frame in one unbroken flow. A fresh, spring palette of soft greens, warm whites, and natural tones spoke directly to mothers looking for simple, trustworthy ways to clean their home. Created as a content marketing pitch for Allstate.

Mobile Mini

A high-tech motion graphics piece built for a giant conference screen, designed to loop seamlessly through fast-paced company performance statistics. Bold numbers and data points lead every composition, supported by charts, graphs, and illustrations that flow continuously from one scene to the next without a hard stop. The palette of white, light grey, blue, and orange kept everything feeling sharp and credible while giving the piece visual energy on a large format display. Every element was built to move with purpose, keeping investors engaged across multiple loops.

Procell

Built alongside a 3D artist, this concept video for the Procell product was rendered and brought to life through motion, rotating and moving through space with the weight and presence the Duracell brand demands. Tall italic sans serifs and blocky all-caps type kept the typography bold and industrial, speaking directly to a male, B2B audience. Dark grey environments with sharp lighting highlights and energy surges in red created an electric, digital atmosphere that kept the focus entirely on the battery and what it represents. Transitions carried the energy forward, with each move feeling charged rather than decorative. Clean, focused, and high voltage.

Brand Systems:

This is another video that was created for Vertical Measures that allowed its designers to explore unique designs while maintaining a clear message. I learned how to create fake 3D environments through using depth, layering and incorporating illustrations more heavily into After Effects.

The Time For Content Marketing Is Now!

The visual system was established entirely in pre-production, building a grid-based illustration style where every element in the layout helped defined the composition. Typography was treated as a structural element rather than a label, with oversized display type anchoring entire scenes. Color was bold and flat throughout, primary hues with no gradients, creating an aesthetic that felt urgent and editorial rather than polished and corporate.

ATRA Welcome Video

A rebrand announcement video built to signal a bold identity shift. The visual language mirrored the new brand system directly, using high contrast, dark grounds, and sharp geometric transitions that made the new name feel like a declaration. Typography was set heavy and condensed to command attention, with motion that pushed forward rather than eased in. The composition and layout of each scene were designed to match the energy of the brand rather than simply display it.
